new to hydroponics...

if i were to plant a mid grade seed in a hydroponic system, would the bud turn out more dro or mid grade?

You have lots of learning to do but we all did or do at some point...

Anything you grow in hydroponics is going to be "dro", you could have some low, mid, or high grade "dro" on your hands depending on strains, lights, nutrients, etc.. etc... etc...

stick with soil its alot more easier to control,......you water and wait for that to dry then water again,..........hydro is a pain in the ass and has been for me for last 5 years'

Research research research!!! read and study everything you can get your hands on. This site has saved me a huge amount of trial and error. Be prepared to spend lots of money and time learning this type of grow. I find it fascinating and very rewarding but it comes at a cost. If you like to tinker and fidget with shit then Hydro is the way to go!! Oh and spend the money on some seeds! if your going to do it do it right no use in spending time and money on something subpar.

hee-hee...newbies in all facets. without sounding mean (just very sarcastic) i'll put this in your own terms:

say you have a honda civic. you supe it up and put some nice rims, exhaust, cd player, dvd player and new paint job. regardless of what you do it's still a civic. it works the same way with bud. it all depends on the genetics of the seed your using. if you purchase high quality seeds, you'll get high quality bud. hydro/soil are just propagation methods. it's just a means to grow. hydro will produce (imho) more bud and veg much faster in size. the nutrients will help it grow develop. just like life, no amount of nutrients, lights etc will substitute for good genes.

another example:
a small white kid from a short family will never grow as tall as the black kid from across the street whose parents are both 6ft+ regardless of how much milk he drinks. it's all in the genes baby.

if you're wanting to learn a new grow method, don't use expensive gens. learn on something inexpensive, just in case it doesn't work out.
