New to the forum, Veteran Treating PTSD with THC

Just wanted to say Good morning from Louisiana. New to the forums, and have found a ton of information. I've had several outdoor crops, but I'm wanting to start an indoor setup. I was deployed to Iraq as a Infantryman, and got hit by several IEDS, leaving me with TBI and PTSD, along with my ADHD. the VA has had me on every new kind of treatment possible ( I was injured in Iraq 9 years ago, so it's something that is still in the process.) My memory is really messed up, and each day seems like Groundhog day. I have to have checklists for everything, from brushing my teeth to taking showers.

growing has dual benefits. the harvest is great, but so is the growing of the plant. it's almost like Zen time when i do my trimming, watering, gardening. I have really bad flashbacks when i drive or ride in a vehicle with other people, so smoking helps me calm down. i use it almost like someone would xanax or other mood stabilizer. Hopefully the VA will get their head out of their butt and realize the potential for helping vets. I've had flashbacks and became suicidal, and refused to take any pills. smoking help me stabilize long enough to get in a vehicle and get to the emergency room.

More power to you keep it up.
I was just thinking if it was legal in this state it wouldn't do me any good.
They tell me if they catch me I'll lose my narcotics, smoking I can get by with half of them, but I need to have some.
I got a great Dr though.
I agree about growing is very rewarding

Welcome to RIU Redneck, my brother suffered from PTSD from military time as well. I found that cannabis helped him alot but his wife was very much against it. He ended up drinking himself to death at age 38. I hope you can find the comfort you need to live a long, as happy as can be life.
Good Luck and Happy Growing!
