New to the jargon...

What does larf stand for?

I know it's low down crap but I've never been able to suss out the exact term, normally I can work them out but larf has me beat, low airy something something?

Larf. The less than visually appealing puff balls that began life too late in the grow. It is subjective. My larf is your common bag. LOL. Yet it is uncommon when properly grown out. Amber and and hash you didn't have to worry about after top harvest. Don't sell it short. 004.jpg
 
The first time I tried to grow, I thought a 2x2 4bulb T5 fixture would do the trick. I mean, they say “high output” so they must be strong enough, right? I yielded like 7 grams of straight up larf. I thought, 3 months and risking a felony (at the time) for this? I didn’t try again for a few years until we had a medical law. Anyway, that’s my story about growing larf.

I thought larf was a acronym and I just wasn't able to work out what it meant lol, no surprise I couldn't if it's a thing rather than a abbreviation, doh!

My understanding or urban legend is an acronym consisting of Low And Really Fucked. But our version of the multitude of speech patterns and dialects.
 
I did a two strain grow a couple of years ago 1 was SLH and the other one VK. I wanted to experiment. So with the SLH I thought I would do some SC...you know HST, and grow SOG. With the VK Instead of topping I went with fimming and LST. I did this strain SCROG style. The big experiment was the mediums...with the SLH I did a soiless with hydro. I went with RWDC in a DIY tent under HID and HPS lights. For the VK I used a mixture of FFLW and FFOF. For the lighting I decided I would use a bunch of CoB LED's. I was a major newbie at the time and as typical bit off WAY more than I could chew. I had a serious bug issue with the SLH...SMs and FGs! With the VK I had out of control nute issues...N deficiency, Z issues, and some Ca problems as well as P and Mg. As I really had zero grow experience, both grows ended up DOA.

So, the moral of the story is forget the jargon and K.I.S.S...get some soil, a pot, a clean grow area and some lights. Have fun!
