new vero 29 gen 7 driver questions

i am going to be building a cob system using 8 vero 29 gen 7. 37.7 V
would anybody be able to help me determine the optimal drivers to use with these? Multiple drivers arent an issue but i would like to use 2. also since digikey doesnt stock the 3500k should i go with all 3000k or 6 3000k and 2 4000k?

whatever you suggest would be best. ill be using a pentiometer so a higher range of adjustment would probably be best

If you're building this strictly as a flowering light than you'll be fine with either 3000k or 3500k. Not sure on these new Veros but I remember the 1st gens 3000k having slightly more blue than the Cree 3000k and those flower up some beautiful frosty plants so any extra blue/cool is only a plus.
If you plan on also vegging with this light as well l would definitely wait for the 3500k.

Nothing wrong with 3000K 80 CRI. More red, adequate blue. 3500 puts out more par by a slight margin but if the red is weighted they come in about dead even. Although it may seem backwards since blue is promoted as good for vegetative growth, 3000K produces the largest fan leaves, so there are some obvious growth differences to consider. I think 3000K experiences less secondary branching, but it would be difficult to be sure without a more scientific approach and I didn't consider it at the time. If I were to build lamps for myself at the moment I would choose 3000. I haven't done the math on 2700/80 or 4000/80. I have compared 2700/90 and 3000/90 and 3000 looked better so that's probably the case also with 2700/80 -vs- 3000K/80. 4000K will have the best par but I suspect once being red weighted it would be slightly under or equal to the 3000 and 3500k options.

planning on using it for both veg and flower. i have 3 seedling right now under a t5 about a week from sprout. i was originally going to build with the cit clu048s but the gen 7 came out as i was going to buy the 48s
