Newb/First timers thread?? Why isn't there one?

I have been lurking around RIU for quite a while, and I must say, this place is better than a library full of grow books.
But it seems to me alot of energy is spent on first time questions, some of which get asked one or two times a day.
I think the indoor growing forum needs a start here thread, FAQ, or read before posting.
I think this could do volumes to the amount of threads posted a day, so that other threads could get more attention and we can continue to grow this vast wealth of knowledge.

I think general growing gets way to much paid attention to but thats jus my oppinion, Everyones jus looking for new tips to better theyer garden.

Most people don't stick around the forum for more than 100-200 posts anyways and a lot of people have a question so they can have an excuse to make their own post. a lot of the threads are redirected to "start here" because most people will just say read the FAQ.

ultimately a Start here thread would probably be ignored completely especially by new comers because they post before they even read the FAQ or even other threads half the time.
