Hey guys. So i am a medical patient in California and and getting ready to start my first outdoor grow. I did one grow that finished a few months ago of indoor and i want to take advantage of the nice california sun and get a huge yield. Everywhere i read it says to plant after the last frost or around late april early may. what i was thinking is to get the clones now and get them going indoors. That way when May comes around they are healthy big and will have a thriving root system already. only thing is..... i dont know if that is a good idea? i mean it seems like it would make sense but hell i dunno. can anyone help asap because i may be getting the clones in 3 days. If you guys all want i will start a grow journal for whatever strain it is i decide to get. So let me know what u guys think about vegging the clones indoors for for a little over a month before transplanting to outdoors. thanks guys!

You don't need help, you got it down. That's exactly what you shuld do, just make sure your strain choice will finish in time. Also when the plants are ready to go outside you might wanna keep them out of direct sunlight for a couple day to get um ajusted to sun light. Another thing if you veg in 24/0 make sure to drop there light cycle down to 18/6 2 weeks before they go out then to 16/8 1 week before so they don't flip, that's assuming your daylight hours is 16-14 hours long at least.
Here in Hawaii we get 14 at most on the longest day. All our indicas flip early so I go from 24/0 straight out side.

How far between plants should I plant them? I know u don't want to crowd them but dunno what I should space them at . Also what's the best way to water? I heard a 5 gal bucket of water and nutes per plant once a week. Does that sound right? Also it gets extremely hot in nor cal so that may go twice a week with nutes once a week. Let me know guys Thx

You talking backyard??? Or in the woods? You trying for monster 10' plants or 4-6' ladies? I wuld say a rough gauge wuld be hight is your daiameter. So 10' plants = 10' apart. Dig deep and wide.

You will figure out the water part by your self. It's not the same everywhere nor is it the same week to week.

sweet deal... i think im gonna do 12 plants in 2 rows of 6 then for an area of 20'x60'. i was also thinking of doing raised beds because the dirt here is full of rocks and is way hard. What would u suggest for types of soil to mix together for this size area. obviously i dont think i could do that many bags of fox farms lol.
