newbie bug problem

ive looked in the bug problem section but bc i dont know what they are i dont know what im looking for. my plants are in the 6th week of flower and i have nat like bugs flying around what are they called and how do i get rid of them? the usually around the bottom of the plants by the soil. i have had spider mites before and killed them off. how do i get rid of these nats? thanks for any and all advice

Sprinkle diatomaceous earth all on the surface of the soil.

ie read some stuff on dawn dish soap and letting it complety dry out and then use the dish soap how much should i use and does it really work?

I don't have a gnat problem.

but has anyone used dish soap? what causes them? and how do i prevent them?
