So ive got a fluro tube which is working but obviously better the light better the plant.

ive looked at fluro compacts on 1000bulbs.com as thats were most people point me but would anyone be kind enough to point out which of the cfls on that site i should go for ?.

Also my temp seems really high most people mention there to be 70-80f mines sitting at 100f , ive put a fan in to try bring it down , i wasnt expecting my wimpy lights to cause that much heat.

all help appreciated :)

remove foil to help bring temps down

also seems that your plants are stretching for the light
at the start have plant near the light
high temp can stunt the growth of the plant

Heh yeah first noobie mistake ive since made a new system for the light so it can be adjusted in height it was just clipped to the roof previously, i was thinking maybe i should just remove the extra desklamp ? i think thats causing the heat possibly but ive only just got the thermo. would white sheeting be better than tin foil ?

you got the idea see how there stretching for the light you need to have light as cloe as possible. One step at a time and you get there just keep researching. Theres alot to it been when u figure it out iits very easy

Cheers guys , ive since turned the desk lamp off , now the rooms sitting at 84f which is alot better. So now im just running the fluro tube , it just isnt as bright as i thought/think it should be its quite a blue light. Checked them this morning and it seems since turning off the lamp and bringing the heat down the plants leafs have gained alot more definition to them.

Ive got a little yellowing at the tips of some of my leafs , ive possibly over watered ? im not using anything to grow them other than the mixed soil there in and water. ill take a trip to the bong shop when ive got some pennys and invest in some form of boost for them.

i think maybe my drainage isnt good enough. I was thinking about adding something to the soil but it would mean repotting them essentually and ive only recently done this. Im guessing its not good todo it so soon after ?
