Newbie Grower - what should I feed my plants?

...Im a first time grower.
I have 3 Money Maker, and 1 Delahaze going right now.
Today is Day 1 of Week 7 ( flowering is stated to start between weeks 8/9)

I've been feeding them Miracle Grow Bloomer - otherwise I have no idea what to feed them?
I've been reading through this section, and there are all these abbreviations I can't make out when people talk about what they are feeding their plants.
All of my plants are giving off a huge smell - so Im taking that as a good sign.
They will be short plants as they are Money Maker strain. and they're about a foot and a quarter high.

But just for my Newbie Grower reference point - what do u feed your plants - in laymens terms please :)

Veg state you want high nitrogen which is the first number of the three that you'll usually find. It's called N-P-K. The last two are better for flowering stage. A little nitrogen in early.veg helps though. I use maxsea all purpose for veg it's 16-16-16. The bloom I use is 3-20-20

There so many different kinds of food though. I wouldn't recommend miracle grow especially bloom nutes while vegging
BUT with all respect to tanner above..
Bloom nutes isnt such a bad thing its a basic thing for using the lucas formula.
Google lucas formula to find out more.
I fed my plant bloom nutes from the 3rd month onwards in a 4 month veg before flower. It came out a nice smoke although this year im going with maxsea veg and maxsea bloom as tanners is above.

My advice would be to get a 'sample kit' from a nutrient company. This way you will start to get a feel for nutrients and what they do. Like all of us, you'll soon discover they all work, environment is more important, and not all products are necessary to successfully grow dank bud.

I am currently doing a coco grow a Green Planet Nutrients sample box, (BTW this sample box is expensive, pick a less expensive one for your grow like Dynagro) . This is a good example of what I mean. If you look up their US feed chart, then look up the UK version, they use many less products. This is because they can't sell some of their products overseas. So do these extra products really add anything? I'm going to do two of the same grows to find out. One grow US chart, then one with UK feed chart.

Good luck on your grow.

P.S. if you get Dynagro and have any issues, seek out Homebrewer for assistance.

...THANK YOU for taking the time to type that up for me, I very much appreciate all of you guys' wisdom.
This is a learning grow for me, but I continue to learn something new every week. Im going to be super grateful for whatever the 4 plants yield me - and next year I'll be even better to grow a different high yielding strain.

What high yielding strains do you guys like to grow? I've seen one that the flowers are colored like the rainbow, but have no idea what its called.

Today is Day 57 and there are PISTILS on 3 of the 4 that are readily visible - whew! Im very relieved lol.
Thank you to everyone for their advice!
The Delahaze, and two of the MM are eń Pistíl hehe.
Just waiting for my fourth MM to catch up, it is so strange how even though 3 of them are the same strain, they all seem to be developing their own little personalities. Or am I just goofy? :D

In your situation, this is what I'd be doing
The real secret is in the soil get a quality soil, something like Fox Farm Ocean Forest and add 20-30% perlite ...now you are set for about a month, in most cases its best to veg only one month then go 12x12 after that ..putting the plant away each night, to start the bud,

...well,thank you! Im off to read up on your blog now :)

WEEK 9 - DAY 68

My plants are looking AMAZING!
... ALL are growing mad long whitish pistils up and down the whole length of the MoneyMakers / same w/the Delahaze.
The tops of all 4 have opened up and are widening out, like many of you said they would :)

I will probably have 1 or 2 more questions as they flower more fully and become closer to Harvesting
(I'm thinking mid October - its gonna be tricky because where I live in the Northeast, it still in the mid-lower 80's right now, daytime / nighttime temps between 48-56F )
But I have a feeling the last couple weeks may have to rig something up inside to finish them. But IDK yet, hoping I'll luck out and at least HALF of October will continue to be mild like Sept was.
I'll go take some photos to post.
