With Jiffy pellets, once they're sprouted, you should only water from the bottom. Let the water wick up from the bottom, then let them dry a bit before watering again.Late night session with my baby planted seed in jiffy pellet on 7/10/21
Yes I’m not watering the actual jiffy pellet. Mainly around it... hope I’m doing it rightWith Jiffy pellets, once they're sprouted, you should only water from the bottom. Let the water wick up from the bottom, then let them dry a bit before watering again.

I had no idea. I've been using Jiffy Pellets for years and always watered from the top LOLWith Jiffy pellets, once they're sprouted, you should only water from the bottom. Let the water wick up from the bottom, then let them dry a bit before watering again.
Yeah yeah... Fill a tray and just add a half inch of water in the tray and Bob's your uncleI had no idea. I've been using Jiffy Pellets for years and always watered from the top LOL
I've been doing it so long I won't change. I up pot to pint pots within a few days of sprouting too.Yeah yeah... Fill a tray and just add a half inch of water in the tray and Bob's your uncle
If you leave them in there for like 4 weeks, the roots will grow into the other plugs. I regularly keep them for 4 weeks, but I split them into another tray because I'm feeding by then.
Obviously, the plant size will be a function of the pot size. Big pot, big plant. As seedlings it's reflected in reverse. A seedling will attempt to focus on root development at the beginning to ensure its survival. Once that happens, it's a lot harder to kill. If it gets munched on by a rabbit, it just branches off.
