Newbie help please

Hi everyone!

So let me start off by saying my name is Jane I inoculated my first 6 jars almost 9 days ago, I bought a kit from Midwest grow kits thought it would be best since it's my first time and I don't have too much time on my hands, I also got my spores from sporeworks I got penis envy spores.

Anyways my next step after they all get colonized of course is to dunk the cakes in water (is what I'm being told by the guide that I got from Midwest grow kits)but at the moment I don't have any vermiculite. Where can I get what I need to make some vermiculite and any tips or advice is welcomed.

The next step after the jars are colonized is to spawn into pasteurized manure based compost.

You can go to Home Depot, assuming you're in a country that has a Home Depot, or a gardening store.

Do I have to put the cakes in water i guess it's called dunk and roll?

I have perlite so I don't think I need manure based compost.

After 100% wait a week, soak in a bowl overnight in your fridge,take out roll in vermiculite. The perlite is only to retain water in your FC(Fruiting Chamber) and maintain the RH levels.

Well if you want to fuck up your yeild and fruit grain because you read some obsolete pf tek shit then yeah, dunk your carefully grown grain in water and see what happens. Cause when I go looking for mushrooms I always go to the fields that have pint sized blocks of colonized grain sitting everywhere.

My bad thought she was running BRF must have missed the grain part...Agree^ make a casing

Meaning? I have a tub n perlite. It tells me to put the jars on lids on the perlite.

I thought it was weird that they said to put the cakes in water cause I didn't think water was supposed to touch the cakes

So this is what I got in my kit people r telling me its pf tek I guess. I'm getting so many different answers on what to do. I'm happy I have two weeks to find out.

That is Pf tek .....(Brown Rice flour).... Once your jars are inoculated and 100% colonized plus a few days you would dunk (water in fridge) and roll( in vermiculite) .... I wouldnt waste my time IME trying to make a casing w/ BRF as my spawn. Are your jars inoculated?

Mushrooms, they grow in manure. Colonized grain. It goes in manure.

How many times must I repeat this? Big fucking piles of shit with mycelium growing in it. That's what you want. Do you wanna spend the rest of your fucking life boiling mason jars in a pressure cooker and worrying about contamination?
