Newbie here w/ questions

OK so I'm getting to grow for the first time. I've decided with a closet grow, which I'll have to build a box inside of closet. Now i can build the box no problem my question is is the size to small? The size is 26"Lx18"Wx60"H. Then there is the question of what type of lights to use for such a small grow box as i don't want the room to over heat and kill the plants. I want to use a HP/MH but what wattage? I'll be growing about to 2 to 3 plants at a time auto flowering doing a DWC grow. PLEASE HELP ME.... I'm newbie and wanting to learn

Box is to small for HPS unless you plan on getting a 70 watt security light

I agree with the last guy, while I would always want an hps or mh over a cfl with this kind of space you will end up with all kinds of temp problems. Grab a handfull of cfl's keep them close to the plants and if I were you having only enough space to grow 2-3 plants, I would by feminized seeds.

Closet grows tend to do best with cfls. I have done 2 closet grows with them sucessfully. Dont use hps unless you have proper ventilation and space. at least 4x4 feet.

are you asking whether u should get feminized seeds or autoflowering seeds? I buy feminized I dont quite know anything about autoflower yet. It may have something to do with 12/12 from germination?

Scrap the grow box. and use the closet itself...........get yourself some floros from walmart...invest in a hps with a hortilux bulb........you'll be better off............if you can get your hands on a 430hps that'll be perfect for ya........

As some one who has an almost identical size cabinet in a closet (23"x28"x60") with a 400w MH vegging I concur with BH. You can do it but you really need to plan and test or you end up with this:



*edit and for gods sake do not use MG TR.... FF OF FTW
