Newbie needin help with grow room

Hey everyone

I was wondering if someone could start me in the right direction i got a grow room that measures 14x14feet. Im only going to use a 1000 hps for finishing and a 400mh for mother plants and clones,should i build a closet type room ex: 6x6x6. any help would be greatly apprec.

k, if you only got those 2 lights, that is exactly what id recomend. with a 6x6x6 grow room, id probably get a extra 400. if thats not an option, it would be better to scale down to 5x5 or 4x4. 5x5 will hold about 25-30 clones and 2-3 mothers, 4x4 will hold 15-20 clones and 2 mothers. if you can get a second light, 6x4x6 would be best (imop). that should give you enough room to hold 30-35 clones and 2-3 mothers.

thanks for the help... I have one other question. I am looking at using a carbon filter to rid the smell on the exhaust side.. would I put the filter before my inline fan or after?

not sure never used one, i would think b4. im curious to find out though, someone please help us!!

ya i read alot about on filters on riu but never really fiqured out the details this site rocks though im sure some vet will help
