Info requested when posting issues:
1) PICTURE OF PLANT *** VERY IMPORTANT ***
See attached

2) Growing indoor or outdoors
indoors with a T5 light (set-up for a different plant) with both 2700k and 6400k light bulbs

3) Watering schedule
um....when the soil feels dry

4) Growing Medium
whatever it came in (it was free from a dispensary)

5) What stage of growth
vegetative (baby plant still, only about 8" tall)

My bf brought home a plant and voila, I was a mom to a baby cannabis plant. I have no idea what I'm doing, so bear with me, and I tried to do the best I could so far with what I have. This is what I've done (or not done) since I got it:

-In original pot (doesn't look root bound, but should be re-potted soon, if it lives)
-It had some yellowing leaves (just looked uncared for - looked up the yellow leaves and didn't come up with anything specific, so I....)
-Trimmed it (cut off some branches to help with growing)
-Put it on my hot house with the baby plumerias (read that they like humidity/warmth)
-It's sitting in a plastic tray that's about 1/4" above a heat mat
-And about 4-5" below the light

Leaves were doing great and it was growing really well. The cut branches started growing leaves. I re-potted half my plumeria's and then the leaves started turning yellow and then light purple. Some leaves also have browning on the tips. The plant did start pushing against the top of the hot house lid. Maybe it's light burn? The lavender colored leaves is what pushed me to post. I couldn't really find any answers here or on the internet (except possibly a moly....something deficiency which I read is rare). Also, this happened within a week or so. I typically look at my plants almost daily, but this turned fast!

I haven't bought the soil yet because it only comes in a huge bag. I don't do anything that I'm now reading about (sorry), like pH, nutrients, etc (thinking I'm going to have to start doing this).

I give you credit, cannabis is not easy to grow! And people think plumies are hard, omg, they're so easy in comparison.

Ask away, I'll answer what I can. I appreciate any help. I don't like killing plants, so I'll do what I can without buying a second set-up.

My opinion is that plant looks like its flowering in a very small container with very little nutrient value in the soil, possibly in a low light area? Not enough N or light can cause leaves to pale. The lavender color may be strain related to that plant at that particular age, also as little as a 15 degree drop in temperature even briefly can cause strains to go purple as well as a phosohorous deficiency. She really needs a repotting in a bigger pot with good soil with the quickness. Just my opinion.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to get the soil (fox farm ocean forest - heard that was awesome for these plants) today and re-pot tomorrow (into a larger pot). Hopefully that will help it get back on track. Should I see if the soil gives it the nutrients it needs before I start adding things? I'm going to have to make do with the light set-up I have as I can't afford to purchase a new one :(.

FFOF should give your plant everything it needs for a little while. You may want to use some cal mag also as ocean forest may only have trace amounts. Get those lights right down on top of your plant if you can, that will help some.
