First time growing. Strarted 2 bag seeds (Green crack, chocolope) under lights. Both took quickly were transplanted into 5 gallon smart pots with promix and get fed nutes once a week. They are now exactly a month old and about 3 ft tall with the pots and are showing signs of being female. I have them out in my greenhouse where there is a lot if sun.

My question is a 5 gallon pot big enough? I can already see roots poking thru the bottom fabric and i have a lot of time to go. I only have one spot i can plant them in the ground but it does not get much direct sunlight .i think i will have to move them there anyways since they might outgrow my greenhouse. I have not topped them or done any training.

Any suggestions? How big will these ladies get?

Got some mighty stretching going on with the one on the right. But if I were growing outside, I would use a 7 gallon or bigger because there’s no vertical limit. And I would definitely top.

Thanks, ya I'm going to top tomorrow then put them in some 20 gallon totes I have sitting around.

Can anyone guess how much room / height they might take up if I top them now and let em grow? I'm just worried they will get too big for the tent.

When you say tent do you mean like an indoor tent?

I think you might run into a problem vertically if you let them veg too long. They will easily get over 7ft in 10-20 gal pots. I would shoot for a wide plant vs tall.
