newbie question about lights

im currently using a 400w hps and have done a few searches about black lights i understand you cannot grow with black lights but what im wondering is would black lights help at all with the 400w hps havnt been able to find anything about using both kind of lights at the same time can anyone enlighten me on this or is it just a dumb newbie idea ive seen lots of led lights that have a uvb switch on them so what would be the differnce of having a 400 and black lights on at the same time thanks in advanced for any info

umm i dont know if its been asked or not but if i was u id take clones and and grow one clone with 400watt then the other with 400w and blacklight see which does better itll be ur own little test

The "black light" will not work. You want something high in UVB to promote trichome production if you're gonna use a UV light. Also, they're used in conjunction with a regular MH or HPS light.

thanks for the info guys not gonna worry about the blicklights then ill just use them when stoned lol also purchased a 1000w digital ballast and bulb today so guess i wont be needing to worry about maximizing yield with tricks now
