newbie quistion

why do i have to cure my weed. i am coming to my second harvest the last time i did did not cure it at all. i dried it in a paper bag under some lights on my veg shelf. the smoke was ok got me hi but ive had better. will curing make the smoke better . by the way iam only talking about 1 to 2 ozs

you need to get the budd totally dry before curing at least 18 days in a cool dark place about 65 degrees or till you can snap a branch easy (bone dry) then into glass jars to cure for a month at least, letting some air in every few days. then you'll have weed man.

yes I agree it actually makes the bud more tasty and more potent because you are loosing the icky bad stuff like chloryphil and being left with more THC per greenage ratio.

18 days, sounds like a long time.... but then again 65 degrees is pretty cool...

I hang for 24 hours, then put in air tight plastic bag for 8 hours, then dry for 20 hours, bag for 6 hours, 18 hanging bag for 4, and so on, for about three to five days, and it's usually just right. Make sure when you hang you don't blow any air directly at marijuana. And Curing does make the weed smoke smoother.
