One grows a pistilc, which is a calyx with 2 stigmas (normally whitish hairs) sticking out.

A male grows pollem sacs that grow on small stems and when open produce a downward flower, normally white or yellow in colour.

Also it'll take about 4 - 6 weeks to show sex. Or at least that's been how it was for all the seedlings i've grown out.
