With the rise of the medical cannabis laws in America. Was this greatly influenced by old Hippy's of the 60s?

Have they finally gotten into powerful positions and changed the society of their parents?

or

Nope, they generally sold out to the man?

People have been smoking pot for over 5000 years. You are a product of your past, accept it and just move on.

LOL nice false dilemma, what is up with all the logical fallacies lately, smh.

Medical, and recreational laws, were influenced by the 60's generation. As in every cohort, some sold out and some moved up; we are not homogeneous.

It's impossible to quantify the contributions the hippies made but we certainly made a huge impact on it's acceptance today.
