I was just on a trip to Canada and I will share what I found. First we went to Niagara Falls thinking we could see some beans and be gone. The Niagara Seed Bank was supposed to be the place to go so I went. The prices were real high, $150.00 US for 5 fems. They also had 10 regulars for $150.00 and up. My friend was standing off to the side and watching while I examined beans. When we were back outside she told me the sales person had taken my picture with her cell phone when I was not paying attention. I found this very disturbing.
The next morning I headed for Toronto. I went to Toronto Seed Bank first because their full page ads listed several major brands. The problem was they did not have some brands at all and the ones they did claim to have were not in original packaging and the sales guy admitted they were grown locally. They wanted $100.00 US for an envelope of 10 with only their name on it. I was running out of time by then so I could only make one more stop. I went to Sacred Seed. The guy there was an Old hippie type and very nice. Everything he had was in original packaging and he was the cheapest too. His 10 packs started at $55.00 and up. That was in my opinion by far the best place to go. Good Luck!
