I currently have 2 plants on day 18/19 of flower.
My problem is, over the course of this week (last 5 days or so) I've pulled quite a few yellow lifeless leaves from the lower regions of my plants. In my opinion it appears as though the plant is not getting enough nitrogen and is pulling N from lower leaves. They dont appear dead, they just have all the green sucked out and go completely yellow.
One plant doesn't have it as bad and is quite bushy so losing the leaves wasnt bad and the bud development for the middle of week 2 is quite impressive so I believe that plant is in good health.
However, the other plant is a different strain, was much more stretched and had a lot fewer leaves. Ive pulled almost all the very large low light fan leaves due to discoloration and a lot of the lower small leaves. Ive noticed that the bud development (aside from this massive main stem) is a lot more stunted and appears to be several days behind (although they were started on the same day and are different strains so it may be genetics).
Ive also noticed just general light colored leaves and growth throughout both plants which makes me think its not getting enough nitrogen. In my previous grow i used ocean forest with no veg nutrients and i had all of like 3 leaves yellow and die through out the whole grow. Now ive pulled over 20 leaves between 2 plants in about 5 days which is alarming to me this early in flower.
The soil im using is some random mix from a nursery my friend used, i cant vouch for quality, however i did add about 1/2 inch of fox farms ocean forest to the top 2 days ago.
Should I go ahead and feed a 1/4 strength dose of fox farms veg nutes Im currently feeding half strength big bloom and tiger every other watering. I make sure i PH adjust all waterings to 6.5-7.
Any advice? My next watering is tomorrow/saturday and its a nutrient feeding.
