I have been pruning my fan leaves off while flowering... so when she is ready to harvest it will be less work... plus I heard that doing so will help energy go to the buds... any input?

There are a lot of reasons to prune leaves but the idea that it reroutes energy to the buds is bro-science. Think of leaves as engines with their own fuel tank. They power the plant with the fuel they receive from the light. When you limit the amount of leaves you are limiting the overall energy the plant has. This is why so many people who do heavy defoliation have to feed their plants so much.

Make since. I have noticed since I pruned the fan leaves that the buds have gotten bigger/fatter.

They’ll do the same thing with the leaves on. They just look bigger with the leaves gone...you know, kinda like when a dude shaves his pubes?
