NM Personal Production Question

I am in the process of applying for a medical marijuana use license (can't remember the exact title right now) and a Personal Production License. My potential grow space is hot in the summer, so I could probably grow 7 months out of the year.

Since the NM PPL specifies your number of plants (4 flowering, 12 veg), is there a certain strategy you all use to get the most production out of this setup? I understand that 6 oz possession is the cap, so you can't produce too much.

Do you try to veg the plants really big to get the most out of your 4 plants? Any cloning involved?

I understand the fundamentals of growing, so you can be as technical as you want.

We are two NM med cannabis patients and we've grown our own for two years. Four plants is more than enough to harvest six oz of flowers. A lot depends on the strain, of course. Some plants will produce more than others. We grow in a pretty natural fashion, without much in the way of nutrients. We allow the seeded plants a full 8 weeks of veg time so as to maximize branching. Then about 8 weeks of flower time. We've gotten as much as ten oz out of three plants. Another time we got 5 oz from four small clones. Last spring we grew out a large plant that rendered 5 oz of flowers. That's one plant! Actually, if you grow well, four plants will easily exceed the six oz barrier. The state can approve you to have more than six oz if you need it. We average about one oz per month between us. We grow only during the winter months, as summer electric bills can be nasty. One grow provides enough medicine to last all year.

Cool man, thanks. I got the PPL and the Medical License. I kinda came to the same sort of conclusion that you have: organic/soil, 8+ weeks of veg, shut it down in the summer. No need to overachieve.

I do a lot of LST. it produces extra colas and increases the yield significantly.
