No Clue

Im brand new to this. I bought some lemon haze and got kandy kush and afrodite as free gifts. while Im waiting for them to be deliverd I wanted to buy the rest of my supplies but In having a hard time deciding what to get as far as soil,fertilizers,lights etc..Ive been doing research but its just confusing, so I decided to come here to get some opinions before I buy anything and fuck up my first try

What is the size of your grow room?

Im using a small closet

How many plants do you want to grow?

Can you modify the closet by adding air vents?

I wanted to start out small, maybe 3 or 4. as far as air vents Im sure I can add one

You probably want to start out cheap and simple.

Soil is the easiest to grow in and for lights you could use CFL's or T5 light fixtures for germiation and Veg. That will get you to about 6 weeks. From there you can decide to move up to a HPS for flowering or not. The more light the more heat you have to deal with and in a small space that can be difficult depending.

what type of soil do you recommend? I heard miracle gro wasnt any good

also, are you going to grow just one time or your looking to grow more often. if your going to grow more than once buy a tent and add on from there.

get hps lighting 400w min, (theres your money maker) whatever the medium,butkeep it at around ph 6.

did you even attempt to narrow it down or decide what sort of requirements you have so that we'd have something to go on? you made a good decision by not buying anything, because it's obvious that you have skipped your planning stage. So jump backwards and tackle that. What is your budget, what do you need to yield, how much space, one space or two, can you vent, humid or dry environment, heated or unheated area... these are the sort of questions who's answers will drive your grow. Answering these will mean you planned ahead and know when you buy materials and build it that you'll be successful and economical

The space I was gonna use is a closet (its not a walk in) I have a small budget. I figured most of my money would go to lighting
