Muslims... Christians... tough call.. I'd give it to the Muslims... they both say retarded shit all the time, but the Muslims still haven't gotten past the whole it's probably not a good idea to kill someone who doesn't think or believe the same things you do thing...

More deaths and wars have been caused due to religion.
I know people of many beliefs, Jewish, Christian, Buddhist, Hindus but they all have one thing in common. They are not dictated to kill non believers.
Yea, the Christians had a bad era with the crusades, but that was because of the interpretation of man and they got out of that belief.
I am one who doesn't care about anyone's religion. I am religious but I keep it to myself.
Believe and practice what one wants, but when they are dictated to lie to and kill non believers, I am sorry but that is not compatible with Western beliefs.

Do you know who is the second most quoted prophet in the Qur'an? Jesus. The Qur'an is full of Jesus's teachings.

If you'd bother to read it you'll find that the kill the non-believers is taken way out of context. Did you read kill the non-believers in the Qur'an or did you just hear it somewhere and now you repeat it without bothering to find out if it's true? You can find plenty of horrific things in the Bible if you want to travel down that path. Wouldn't you think someone was an idiot if they said the Bible promotes incest? Well if you look at the story of Lot, who is it he sleeps with and impregnates? That's right his own daughters. So is that how we should characterize all Christians? As people who fuck their own children? No. So don't so the same thing in reverse.

And the Crusades? Is that all you can come up with? The Spanish Inquisition? ...And don't get me started on the Papacy.

How about starting with this. The God of Abraham in the Bible and God in the Qur'an are the same God. Jesus's teachings are in both books. Both books espouse the Golden Rule. Both books teach non-violence.

Let's start from a position of what we have in common, not what makes us different. Give it a try.

Like a lot people today, I have no use for organized religion in my life.
As far as evidence, no religion has anymore evidence than I have of the boogey man.
That being said, I don't have a problem with anyone's beliefs either.

However, Islam has failed to reconcile with the modern world regardless of what may or may not be in it's teachings verbatim.
It's the interpertation and fanaticism that has become a global plague.

Many of us have been repeatedly saying it too. Both religions are terrible. Plagues on society.

I would say most christians do not fuck their own children, even if there is evidence of it in the bible. If they do it almost certainly has nothing to do with that passage in the bible. That is the problem with christianity (and ALL other religions) though, they pick and choose what they want to believe and take literal from their holy book.

The problem with most religions is 1) the need to convert non-believers and 2) the belief non-believers are going to hell or deserve to be punished.

It's all too convenient when God hates all the same people you do.

Islam and Christianity are part of the same system, they were both created to work together to control the primitive world of the middle ages. they really have no relevance in today's world, and are both steadily, slowly losing ground in the human consciousness. guy, you're fucking hilarious, I lol'd.

edit:though i can't prove this, they were both probably created by the jews. boom. that's right I said it. of course I don't mean like, "all jews" I mean like, "those jews" like them, they jews. who may not even really be "jewish" at all.
