So I bought some new cheap lights today to help with growth (3-200 watt). Only problem is that they are incandescent and put off a bunch of heat. So i had to move her out of my closet into my room to help combat that. Are the lights too close? When I repotted her the soil was very wet
so now I barely put any water in the new soil in hopes that the other water will dissipate out of the old soil. I don't have a home depot in my town but next time I am near one ill go check out those bulbs you suggested
@az2000
i dont want to come off rude so please dont take it that way
this is a set up like i had when i was 17 and tried growing pot in my little apartment and i almost burned my house down.
it isnt a safe set up and it wont work. period.
your plant is probably going to die if you do not hurry up and rush order some real lights , if you have other seeds, i would say stick this guy in your window for now and wait until your lights arrive from a reputable source.
it seems to me, you did not at all research anything light wise , and thats ok its a newbie mistake, but you have a plethora of information on rollitup
the kicker is you actually have to sit down and read it.
if you want to stick to CFLS which you totally can read here:

even if you are on a college student budget you can get a part time job along with your financial aid and have a real grow room
but , ask yourself is this even realistic? do you have the time and money to invest in this ?
growing marijuana can be simple once youve got it down and youre knowledgable about it
but you as a person have to be realistic in your ideas for this to work
sitting a plant on a bar stool with several cfls that arent even the right kind in multi light lamps isnt a realistic grow , and it will fail or you will burn your house down.
you have to realize at some point that sometimes things just dont work out the way we think they should and that at sometimes we have to let ideas go and start when we have time, money and energy to do them.
youre probably either at home, or renting a room with other people , if thats the case growing 1 pot plant isnt safe, legally and it probably will break any tenant rules you have.
(i am assuming you are not in a dorm as most dont have hardwood flooring)
i was a college student and still am (currently taking a break) although I am a bit older than you, my advice is
buy some books, read in your spare time, gain knowledge , come to riu talk with us learn from us, make new friends
and once you have your own home, and safety and oyu know how to grow marijuana comfortably enough , than start your grow.
it just doesnt seem realistic at this time in my opinion
should you want to grow anyways, i would unplug those lights and stick the plant in a really sunny spot in your room, and do some reading and buy proper lights and have them arrive monday/tuesday
