NO potency?

hello riu, i took a small bud from my plant which is week 10 flowering to quick dry end test 3 days ago and smoked it today. Has no smell,no taste,no body buzz no nothing.. trichromes are 10% amber.The strain is jorge's diamonds#1.A lot of newbie mistakes such as light leaks,defoliation during flowering,no perlite in the soil and more,also i think i will harvest 1/2 oz from 4 month plant.Pretty dissapointing huh? I have to say that i had a temp issue all the way(in flowering) i had a constant 88 f day and night.So what's the story here? Home grown stuff is supposed to be wicked... I also had a smaller plant much smaller it grew about 5 nodes in 4 months and was like a bush no topping no nothing, i harvested 1/4 oz from that, but the stone was really wicked.. I am not worried about my small yield for first time but i am very pissed of by the quality.Any help WHY?

dry it for a week than stick it in the freezer in a mason jar it well get you high just needs to be cured

i didn't use a ph or a ppm meter but i can tell it was healthy all the way,no burns,one time i fed a little more and burned the tips of some leaves then i backed away and i was good. I was feeding them with biogrow and biobloom from biobizz.In flowering i started with 1 ml/l biogrow and 1 ml/l biobloom, i kept the 1 ml/l biogrow till the end to keep her green and reached 4 ml/l with biobloom the latest weeks. Also every 3 weeks i was giving them a pinch of epsom salts and in this one i was giving blackstrap mollases during flowering. I have somewhere red that high temps all the way can cause low potency is that true? thnx all of you for reading

U can tell by looking at the pix it was grown from seed. Because the leaf arrangement on the bottom started out opposite and then switched to alternate. That tells me it was seed grown.
Either a: you didnt cure it right
b: you got bad genetics
The plants looked ok from what I can see. And you said 10% amber so you should've gotten better results. So I'm leaning towards a cure that was mb too fast. Also watch your ph next time. Soil grows should come in at about 6.8...and 10% amber is too high. Try for less amber next time.


edit: your temps weren't too high. I like to see a temp differential of several degrees between day and night but that doesn't affect the potency.

The THC molecule is not psychoactive until it loses a co2 branch off of it, which doesn't happen during quick dries. This only happens from curing, by drying the bud and then putting it in jars and opening them for several hours a day for several days/weeks. You can't pop a snapper off a plant and into the microwave or dryer and expect it to get you high. In fact, even just hanging and drying, without curing, can leave you with damn near worthless bud.

^^^^thats the way its done. Idk Jorge had his hand in genetics but anyway.....a sample taken still has to be dried and cured the same as everything else so perhaps that's where u went off track. Better luck on future grows.

Could also be genetics, went to that seed bank site and this was his strain grown good jorges_diamonds_1_feminised_dutch_passion.jpg

Even grown good, that bud does not have a lot of trichcomes at all.

Well, you basically answered your own question in the OP.

You had problems throughout, almost every type of problem.

Have your corrected those issues? If not, you will end with the same results next grow.

I disagree completely. I have smoked plenty of test buds that had instant and immediate effect. It certainly matures during the cure, but if your buds are close to ready, they should have some punch to it.

As well you should...that co2 flies away when the lighter hits it, taste and smell come from the cure.

i dont know why your weed didnt get you high BUT i can say that i have smoked WET buds and still got stoned so i dunno whats up with your plant, good luck tho
