Noob grower - Northern Lights Automatic - 3 problems w/ pictures

In the past i've grown one single bag seed in the crap sun and got a very small yield which i wasn't too bothered about.

This time i've decided to try harder so I bought an automatic Northern lights seed from a seed bank. I started growing it under two lights - a 23w cool white CFL and a 20w warm white CFL. I started the plants under these but it basically nearly DIED and all the leaves were going yellow so i bought a mini greenhouse and it started growing beautifully, but with no doubt stunted growth due to the stress and transplanting. Ps: the plant is showing it's first two pistils, so today i fed it a slightly different fertiliser with a bit of a more richer potassium content.

1. First problem is my leaves are drooping, i know there is many more forums for this but, i don't know whether i have actually over watered or whether it is: heat stress, too many nutrients or the leave's stem cannot support it. So have a look at the pictures and give us a rough idea?

2. Second problem is that when i first started growing the plant it basically nearly died as i said before, therefore my plant still has darky green yellow leaves, so i wanted to know if i should take them off to make sure energy wasn't being pointlessly used, but will it stress the plant out and FURTHER stunt its growth and yield.

3. Last problem is that, as i'm still learning, i didn't start my auto flower in the pot that i will flower in to reduce stress and keep yield higher so i have transplanted a couple times. At the bottom of the pot i can see a few roots. I don't know whether they are pushing against the side of the pot because i am reluctant to check or transplant it because i don't want to stunt its growth even more as it is already so small. You will see this in the pictures. So should I or should i let it flower in this pot and just accept?image.jpgimage (1).jpg image (3).jpg image (3).jpg image (5).jpg

Autos are relatively easy to grow. When you pop a new seed , you CAN plant into its final pot from the beginning. I reccomend no smaller than a 3 gal ( 5 gallon for a larger plant ) .

Pre-moisten potting soil 24 hours ahead ( moisture will allow seed to root without overwatering ) . Bury approx. 1/4 " tap root down ( do not touch taproot ).

If you are using a premium soil ( FFOF , PROMIX , etc. ) . It will have enough basic nutes embedded in it to start seedling growth up to at least week 3 . Until you get more experience in growing , don't top or FIM . Later you can experiment.

Autos gave a PREST life span , they run from seedling to a very short veg stage and then preflower ( sometimes within 30 days ). Autos also need less intense feeding. BTW get rid of foil backdrop , use Mylar ( cheap sun shade material )

Here is what to expect from a basic AUTOFLOWER GROW.

DAY 1 - First real leaves emerge
DAY 6 -7 Plant has UP to 3 nodes with smaller branches beginning to emerge
DAY 10-12 At least up to 5 nodes
Day 17-21 8 to 10 nodes, plant sex is shown. Pistils will show. Very fast growth in this
stage
Day 25-30 Plant begins flowering and starts to stretch. Bud sites popping up.
Day 35-45 Growth slows, buds slowly develop more and more each day.
Day 50+ - Buds begin to fatten, heavy trichome production and smell. This is the
Yellow of leaves will happen as plant nears its end of life. ( normal )
Autos will " TELL " you when it's getting close ( check triches )
Day 65-75 Harvest !

Here is a " no Brainer " feed schedule that works like a charm :

WEEK 1 : PH WATER ONLY
WEEK 2 : PH WATER ONLY
WEEK 3 : PH WATER ONLY
WEEK 4 : 1/2 VEG NUTES
WEEK 5 : 1/2 BLOOM NUTES
WEEK 6 : 1/2 BLOOM NUTES
WEEK 7 : 1/2 BLOOM NUTES
WEEK 8 : PH WATER ONLY
WEEK 9 : Harvest or check triches to push a little further .( adding more time )

What is the key to this feed is that leaf yellow and drop off will occur based on the plants own time schedule. It will SHOW you that it is getting close. I have done multiple grows this way , why over think it ?

After a few grows THEN you can experiment with boosters or additives around week 5-6.

GOOD LUCK bongsmilie

the plant is burning up would be my guess ...... you didnt mention the soil but i assume its too hot for the plant ...... the plant is in veg still ....... the pistils youre seeing are just preflower the plant will continue to veg for a few more weeks after .......

so to answer question #1 on the droop and yellow leaves .... my guess would be soil is too rich and probably too wet ........ you never mentioned temps that i noticed so cant really say anything about that .... question #2 see answer to question #1 ......... #3 ..... it may or may not sort itself out ..... i wouldnt feed it anymore nutes until growth returns to normal shaped leaves at least .....

The new growth doesn't look that bad. I would say your soil was probably a bit rich initially.

What are the temps like around the plant? You can get a really cheap thermometer and make sure your temps are between 70-85F (20-30C)
Its always a good idea to have a fan blowing gently nearby to strengthen stems and nice air movement.

Dont bother transplanting, you will only stress and fuck her up more, same goes with the leaves.. leave em on.

With autos you dont want to to overfeed, overwater, transplant or prune/train, just water/feed and let her go.

The trick to watering is only water when the pot feels light when you lift it, with a pot that size probably once every 4 or so days.

Also you really should be checking/adjusting your water PH to around 6.0, you can get the test kit drops for really cheap too.

Don't expect too much from those weak ass lights either man, but good luck with it

What's up man....First off what I know about auto flowers is this.....they are very easy to over water...so water sparingly but ore often......just from my opinion based on my grows unless your going to grow outside you need at least need a mh hps system or good led system because of the quickness in growth......I never use nutrients during the short veg cycle and only minimal nutrients during flowering......I wouldn't pick the discolored leaves off neither let the plant kill them off naturally. .....and 100% start your autos in whatever pot they will finish in at least a 3 gallon 5 gallon even better so roots have room to explode, remember size of root system = size of plant. Sounds like you've shocked them too many times disturbing the roots.....hope this helps....and remember if your gunna use nutrients use them sparingly. I suggest using a good super soil instead of nutrients when it comes to autos.
