noob question about hoods

Wussup guys/ gals I want to pick up a sun system magnum xxxl 6" hood. Right now I have a 6" 600w cool tube and water to upgrade. My question is can I use the magnum xxxl hood in any wattage setup? All I have to do is make sure the bulb fits and match up the bulb and hallway watts right?

The xxxl works best with 1000w but works good with 600w. Wouldn't even bother putting a 400 in it. Its a great hood I want to upgrade 3 of mine soon.

Sorry forgot to answer your ?. Bulb will fit and all you have to do is change the cord from your cool tube to the hood and plug in and glow. Or if you are keeping your tube and adding the hood. You will need everything.
