Noob question about weaker lower branches

Just a quick noob moment. I've got a little girl that did not grow as fast as her unfortunate bothers which all lay dead now. Her lower branches are way too weak to support any bud growth. Should I trim them off before she starts to build buds on them. Will that not allow her to focus on her top?

clone the little guy and see what happens...or

i have a little guy who is very small and i trimmed up the areas where the leaves where close and it shot up some upward growth....you also need to have a fan blowing on it to build up stem strength in any situation

You can leave it, and hope they become stronger. Or you can chop them off and save the plants energy for main buds.

The plant will use energy to attempt to strengthen branches, so if you get rid of weak branches, all the energy can go to main colos.

Instead of lots of bud locations, you would have fewer, but they would also be bigger and more dense.

indoor im assuming? this is why its important to have a fan on your babies. within 3weeks theyll have stems the size of a pencil. end of harvest youll have a monster stock. itll cost you like 25cents a day to run a regular house fan, that can cover many plants. its worth it trustt

Thanks for the feedback. Yes she is indoors and I have a nice size house fan blowing in there for her.

if you chop the lower branches it will not harm the plant unless you are taking off a lot of them. if its well into the flowering stage you could shock the plant and might have bad results. but yes it will help it focus more on the remaining branches. if your using CFL's your probly not getting good light penetration to the lower branches anyway. male plants seem to grow faster/taller from my experience. did you top the plants in veg? this would help with more yield. CFL's loose there usable spectrum pretty quick date em and replace em to give your plants the best light possible for a CFL. i grew some back in the day under CFL's that werent even 6500k daylight they were like 43 watts and way bigger than they are now...also only feed them fish tank water...heres a pic of them they were around 3'CFL.jpg
