Noob question

So im planning on trying a aero setup just a single plant to start and get the feel. My question is can I take a seed that ive started from soil and use it in a aero setup?

If it's germinated; no.

How would you take a plant that has rooted in soil; diligently remove packed soil from Root growth and Feed existing root system through the AeroGarden Pods into the res?

I'd like to know... because I do not believe you can do this without causing catastrophic stress to the plant.
