NoobBreeder looking for HELP on AUTO seed production.

Okay, so, I am a total newbie @ seed making, but i need to make my seeds. Why and why autos?
The place I live and I don't have access to more seeds then I already have.

So the thing is... I have a pack of AUTO regs. I read that it should be pretty straight forward to cross them, being the same strain and all. (Is that correct?)

That is phase 1.

Phase 2, would be making them FEMs. (Is that possible with basic knowledge?)

It would be great to do this with you guys helping me along the way. Step by step I will be posting the pics and evolution.

I haven't even popped them yet.

thanks, I think we will get to that stage at some point. Hopefully, by then I would know how to use it properly.

Fuck fems. Now what I would do is keep the male's far away collect pollen from the best males and knock up the best females and repeat each generation. Or you can just order seeds that are better and easier to work with than auto shit.

Maybe some, but you can't clone them just buy buy buy. I tried a couple freebies and they where nothing to write home about. Only thing they are good for is an outdoor grower who wants a little smoke before the actual harvest IMO.

If you can't clone you will learn like most who love autos, you make your own seeds...autos are so much more then something you smoke when you don't have anything left...you grow photos,that's your thing but that don't mean you can grow autos without some f ups....like not to transplant...or don't change lights, and the big one lil to no nutes...

My last batch I know was hanging with the big dogs plus I got almost an oz each plant an my temps stayed in the high 90s...that was in 9 weeks. Flip a clone and 9 weeks what you have 10-15 grams...don't knock autos

If you allowed someone to walk you thur an auto grow you'd be hooked....let's say 9 weeks for a plant that will do a zip add 3 weeks to that maybe for a plant that does 3 zips...

Now I'm just talking...there are strains and growers who are getting 5+ at 10 weeks...

To each their own. May not get a ounce off a single clone put straight into 12/12 but you can do a sea of green of clones and yield more than a crop of autos and get about 2 pounds from a 1,000 watt light more if you do a vertical sea of green.

Also with autos you are going to want to do more than 12/12 to get a bigger yield so you will use more electricity to produce maybe the same amount of weed. Also how many are truly finished in 9 weeks from seed?

Not to mention look around the forums all forums except that auto flower forum if it's still around Lol, and see what is the most popular? What's the most experienced growers growing? I can tell you right now it's not many autos. They do have a place but if auto was the next best thing since sliced bread we would see a whole lot of people growing them. I'm sure they have gotten better with potency but I doubt you will ever find one as strong as a great photoperiod plant and the biggest problem is that if you find one on level with something like Gorrila Glue #4 you can't keep a mother which is probably the biggest reason few people love autos.

People with strict plant counts will also not want autos because you can veg an indoor plant enough to yield over a pound on a single plant.

But by all means breed autos if you truly love them you do a great job you can end up selling them not a whole lot of competition in the auto flowering breeding market probably would be the best easiest market to get into cause while most don't like autos their is a pretty good demand and not the best supply.

Getting a photoperiod seed company off the ground would take so much more time and work and you will really need something unique to get your name out but I am going to try like hell just not going to put all my eggs in one basket I do pretty good breeding now but I don't yet have a true breed and several years before I will think about selling seed after all we got enough pollen chuckers like Subcool any fool can be like Subfool. :bigjoint:

Autos put on more weight then you think...if you did a sog with autos it would be insane...yes they need more light but I bet even if you ran an auto on 12/12 it will still do better then a clone. I turned to autos for the weight I'm able to get in a short amount of time and the easy . And I still have not had my ideal setup and maybe never will at least not anytime soon...and all I want is a 4x4 tent.

So grow autos I really don't care report back when you're get 2 grams per watt off auto's and maybe I will give them a real run. But I ain't going to take your word for it I want to see these auto's outdo photoperiod in quality and weight until then I don't believe everything I read especially from someone who just wants a 4x4 I got more than that going personally and the few auto's I did sure as shit where not special.

I believe autos have their place. Be it for production or short cold climates or outdoor gurella grows, even a window sill houseplant. And I believe they have autos that test into the 20% pretty constitenly, that may not be GG4 % but 20% is some dank bud.

Who said I want to get rich growing? Would be nice but I got more than one hustle weed ain't my only source of income I do give medical patients one hell of a deal and some free I also have a lot of friends who love weed. But I can survive just fine off herb alone I just ain't trying to go to prison so a legal source of income looks good. I own my own home and all never been so much as shot at did have someone threaten guns when I was slanging hard drugs but I waited in the trees for hours with a fully loaded 30 round magazine but that was when I was 18 I'm 30 now and have a family but thanks for the advice....

I think I will stick with my regular seeds and do what I been doing.
