Noobie Question on Nutrients

Can you have a succesful grow without adding any nutrients?? If not what are the best nutrients to use for a small small budget grower?

check out my grow in my sig, the only nutes it got was what was in the miracle grow soil, some cheap ass plant nutrient spikes i got at the 99 cent store and some molasses mixed with water once in awhile. less than ten bucks in nutrient costs if you dont count the soil, including soil its like 20$ usd.
