North Carolina

To grow in summers and winters in north carolina, am I going to have to have some kind of heat pump to keep the area within a certain temperature range?

if you grow in nc with hid lights you will need either/or probably based on whether you grow in a basement or closet or attic. All very different. Its safe to say you will need AC, LOL in the winter you can avoid using heat with cleverly laid ballasts and lights

Do whatever is necessary to keep the grow room between 65 and 80 F. Whether thats air cooled hoods in the summer and ac. Or non aircooled hoods in,the winter. Or heater.
Insulation can help if used with the right equipment. Co2 also helps plants thrive in warmer conditions.
