North East Outdoor Sativa......ready?

Oh great, all knowing RUI......I need your guidance.

Have 3 outdoor sativa that I am thinking are nearing the end. I (foolishly) trimmed off all the big fan leaves about 1 week ago thinking more sun would get to lower buds. Since then I haven't noticed any growth......just kinda stalled.
I have been looking at the triches and they are mainly cloudy with some still clear and very few amber ones. I am looking for the more heady high and not as much couch lock.
The hairs on 2 of the three plants have turned brown and have started to wither. The third plant still has bright orange hairs.
Does it really make a huge difference to harvest before first light?

Anyway, take a look and let me know what you think.....

Let them go as long as you can. I wouldn't have cut off the sun leaves though - these are the plants' solar panels. This may stunt the growth some but hopefully they will fill out anyway...

Yeah cutting off the fan leaves are a bad idea, those gather the energy to make the buds. At this point you will not see much growth since the plant has no doubt been shocked at a very bad time. Sometimes when you don't see any growth for a few days or what you see has slowed down you may begin to see nanners which is also bad. If you are seeing amber and you want a heady high and its gonna rain all week then you may as well harvest. The only thing that's really gonna happen at this point is the maturation of your trichs (since its shocked) and since those are starting to degrade anyway...you get the idea.

Your other question, yes it matters when you harvest. THC degrades under the sunlight and regenerates at night since THC production is one of the few systems that stay on all night. Its optimal to harvest after a 72 hour dark period for max flavor and max potency but since you are outdoors do it right before sunrise. Remember that your trichomes will continue to mature even you have harvested.
