Anyone here from northern BC? Have you had success growing outdoors? It's such a short growing season up here, when do you start? And do you begin indoors or in a greenhouse? Thinking I may try a few outdoors next season...

How far north. Much further north than 50 deg you would have the best success with autos. Keep in mind that autos are best not transplanted, & most reguire 90 to 100 days to finish regaredless to what the breeder states.

Autos or I have had good luck with sweet tooth and purple pineberry outdoors. I'm costal Vancouver Island. If you haven't harvested yet here, it will be gone to mold this weekend.

Good to know. We are 54 degrees north, so autos it will be! Thanks @Jackshit

@thecosmicgoat didn't grow any outdoors this year, just wondering for next season. How did yours do this year? Vancouver island is a fantastic climate to grow!
No outdoor garden this year, too much surf and work. I find with the costal dampness outdoors is better than a green house, but it's truly hard in the rainforest. It's pouring rain until April now. Other side of the island has much better growing conditions, hot and dry.

Honestly, I might be done with outdoor grows all together. I've got an indoor set up as well, and it never occurs any of the headaches of the outdoors.

Yeah, I don't blame you. Much easier to control the growing environment lol. I've only done indoor but might plant some autos outside just for the heck of it
