Some people do top autos once. I've never done it though because autos get so bushy with just a little LST.I was under the impression that autos aren’t supposed to be topped? Maybe I’m wrong, I’ve just never done it.
That’s all I’ve ever done is train. Now my photos, I top the hell outta of those girls.Yeah, I'd hang tight. Mine didn't start flowering until day 40 something.

Its a rumour most new growers hear of but it will work wonders..I was under the impression that autos aren’t supposed to be topped? Maybe I’m wrong, I’ve just never done it.
Food for thought, I’ll keep that in mind. Its a rumour most new growers hear of but it will work wonders..
Even a single topping can increase your plants structure, add vigour and impact positively your yield. But 1 or 2 outta ten plants don't get bigger etc.
The growth stops, and with a short life, a week to recover from a topping can hurt: hence the rumour 'never top autos'.
Personally I always top autos once, occasionally twice, rarely but happens even 3 times (if plants growth remains vigorous, I try to make a mainline shape while not stripping her back too much, simply because light will get down into her easier..
@BlissfulMatt so??? Are you gonna grow her?
Of course your keen to get a new one running but that 8/9 week veg period is a gift..!
I have just done 2 runs of nl autos and 4 weeks started floweringThat's kinda what I was worried about. I had heard of NL's going long periods of veg. Got limited room and got some new seeds in. Might have to scrap it. Thanks a lot!!
