not sure what the right way to feed is?

started flowering two weeks ago at 1100ppm now im up to 1250. my buddy said my plants looked overfertilizd but i dont see burn or curl. he said i am feeding wrong. each week i flush for a day then start my nuits again. my question is this: i only add my nuits in at the beggining of each new week and let it go down from there. i top it off with fresh water only if needed. is this correct or should i feeding it a small amount of nuits each day?

what do you mean no fresh water? not to top off is that what you mean...and also this is for hydro not soil. does
that make a difference with the way i feed? thanks for the help...

Yeah major difference in Ph, but ppm just keep it 1100 where they looked good.
I think Soil when hydro is not mentioned.

Sounds like you've gotten some advice already but let's look at this a little more.

I assume you're using an ebb & flow setup. What food are you using and what is your starting ppm before you add any food?

1100 is good but I've gone stronger and yes there shouldn't be a need to flush everyweek. To a lot of people 1/8th of a inch burn on the leaves is ok.

i am bucket system and i am using advanced and i was planning on getting them to around 1500-1600ppm. my starting ppm is normally under 100 sometimes as high as 150

so should i only be adding in nuits once a week at the begaining or smaller amounts i top off daily to equal up to my target for the week??

General rule of thumb is to dump your res and remix your nutes every week or when half of volume of the res is replaced with plain water.

So, if you started with 100 gallons. You should top off your res with plain water every day if you can. But once you've added 50 gallons of plain water back into the res it's time to dump it out and mix a fresh batch or after 7 days have passed whatever comes first.

Like I said this is a rule of thumb and not set in stone. More or less will work but this is a good way to get started. Later you can tweak things to the way that works best for you and your particular plant.
