Nut problem or Plant problem?

Thanks for looking in,
I really need help. I have been growing for about a year now, all soil. I just recently gave hydro a try and am now having problem with my plants growing. I have follow the ratio instructions on how much per gal. and with no advance. I was using Dyna-Grow, a cheap nut I was using when I was growing in soil. I dropped by my local hydro shop and got some new nuts. Fox Farm Big Grow and Big Bloom. I cleaned the res out and mixed a new solution today.

Do you think this will fix the problem or am I just wasting my time. I went ahead and cloned more today just incase it is a total lost.

So whats your problem? Are your plants not growing? I just don't see where you said exactly what is wrong, but don't know what you mean by "no advance"......JR

Yea they are just not growing. I monitor the p/h ever couple of days. I mean it could be the old nuts I was using. I have never heard of anyone that uses or had used Dyna-Grow.

Dyna grow is for hydroponics at least the one I looked up,what kind of medium do you use??,maybe you should give us of a description of your set up and everything you have done so far so it might be easier to diagnose the prob.

I have a 18gal container (walmart special). Four 5inch net pots with silica stone that get 2gph drippers that run for 30min 4 times a day. I have a bubbler at the bottom of the res that runs 24/7. I clone in 2in cubes. I only keep 4 gals in the res.

Any other info you think would help please let me know.

Is that gravel?????See whats bad about gravel is the edges are sharp and can cause root damage, plus might affect ph,try using hydroton and see if there are improvements. Are those clones or seedlings???

See I was also thinking the same thing. I was really excited about the new system and I may have transferred a little soon.

I mean if the roots are still growing shouldnt the plants catch back up for is this just a wast of time now?

Yea I actually did that today. I was hoping it wouldn't come to this. I guess we can just write this off as lesson learned. You know I think I am having a problem with the cubes. They are taking forever to root. I can get the P/H right on them things. I went ahead a switched to rapid rooter. Have you ever tried this.

I've used both, but now I just use rockwool,I have a 100% success rate,I ph the water to 5.5 cut at 45 degree angle 3-4 nodes from the top scrape some of the "skin" at the cut to expose more area for root growth dip it in cloning gel put in propagation tray with dome,I lay perlite in the bottom of the tray and keep it wet so humidity stays up,and I have heat mat that goes under the tray I keep the thermostat set at 84 degrees,I keep the dome on at all times for the first 3-5 days spray them twice daily, once those 3-5 days pass I start removing the dome more frequently till it's off completely.

Just about the same. The only difference is that I dont have a heat pad and I start to remove mine at 7 days. Oh I dont do the perlite but I like that idea.
