Nute burn and Nitrogen def?

Hello,

This is my first post so first off I'd like to say hello to everyone!

I've been using advanced nutrients 3part in a Coco/Perlite mixture and I haven't swapped the nute/water ratio for a while, so I'm kind of stumped how they've all of a sudden developed nute burn out of no where.

I've only just purchased an EC meter and I'm waiting for it to arrive so I'm currently unaware of any build up, but the more confusing part for me is the discoloration of the leaves. They've started turning a pale green color, while having nute burn.

I've flushed them out and I'll try a new nute mixeup starting low and gradually working my way up to find the right amount (currently going by what the label says) but I'm really curious as to what the discoloration means. I'm assuming it's nitrogen deficiency, but I'm no expert so please do correct me if I'm wrong.

Purple lighting is the LED light that I'm using, which is proving to be doing a fairly good job from what I can tell (they've just hit the 2 week mark.)

Edit: Water is PHd to 6.2 and goes no higher than 6.4 so nute lock shouldn't be an issue, which is why I'm confused about the nute burn and discoloration.

when did you start to feed them ???? in my opinion ( just my thought im sure there will be disagreements ) they were to young to be fed anything other then water ... I tend to start feeding after the 3rd true set of leafs com out and I will only feed at max 1/4 strength of recommended .. I.E if the bottle says 4ml/L I will use only 1ml/L .. good on you for flushing just let them dry out good before you water again ... and always make sure you get a good runoff so if there is any salt build up it will wash it away

Hi, I started feeding them when they sprouted their first set of true leaves came through. The instructions state 1ml/Litre of water for seedling but I was feeding around 0.5ml/L which shouldn't really cause too much of an issue seeing as it's a VERY mild solution.

After seeing results and them shooting up quite fast I changed it to the 1ml/L and it was fine up until 2 days ago, baring in mind they've been on this soultion for 1 week (or a bit over) which is why I'm confused by it, I'm not watering too frequently and I'm waiting for the soil to go fairly dry (enough to see a shrink) before watering again, and I'm adding nutes every other or third watering to avoid any build up in the coco.

I plan on leaving them for a few days now after being flushed and going down to maybe 0.7ml/L and seeing how that goes for me, considering the 1ml may or may not have been too strong.

EC meter should be here tomorrow so I'll test some of the run off and see if there has been any build up and address any issues present.

Interesting, so anywhere between 5.5(or 5.8?) and 6?

I read around quite a lot and I found a lot of conflicting opinions about the right PH for coco/perlite and I just went with the average/most recurring but if you've had results with that PH I'll give it a try on a couple of them, if that goes well I'll drop the PH on the rest too.

I'm assuming when the coco dries out after the flush would be the best time to alter the PH, that way there's no build up or any nutes in the coco and there's no varying PHd water around?

I read that it could take as few as 1 watering to amend the PH and as many as 4/5 so in theory I'd assume next watering would be best, if I'm correct?
