Use the search engine to find Peter's "Jack's Classic" ferts. You'll even find the addy from which to order.

Check the PH of your soil. 7.0 is fine for a soil grow.

Hi Blow...

IF you are growing in soil, Your PH of your water should be 6.5 - 7.0... you need to make you water/nutrient mixture and then adjust the PH of the entire mixture..

cheers

You can go to your local nursery and by a PH tester that is intended for use in soil. They look pretty much like a moisture meter, but they cost a little more. In fact, you can buy an all-in-one tester that will measure both moisture and PH.

you dont need to check the soil, just make sure the PH of the water in the rez is 6.5 - 7.0. You can use the drops (which suck ass), the strips (which suck slighty less ass), or the PH pen.. or of course the tri-meter (measures PH, PPM, and Temp), which i strongly recommend.

i think the ph should be lower, i use a ph of between 5-5.5, what happens is that when you get salt buildup in the dirt the salts raise the ph...which in turn means the water your adding with a ph of say 6.8 comes out the bottom of the pot at 8 or more, i know this because that was a major problem for me at first, so what i do is if im mixing up a thick nute solution ill add a few extra drops of ph down

Back in the day...before I went hydro.........we would test soil Ph by watering, allow to sit overnight, scoop out a handful of soil, squeeze the water out and test that......with drops, paper or electronic meter....It's probably not dead accurate, but it's close enough.....shoot for 6.5-7 Ph and all should be fine.......salt buildup shouldn't be an issue if you flush regularly and fertilize lightly.....
Best of luck.
