Hey everyone, I am on day 3 of germinating....the beans are cracked with taproots about a quarter inch exposed already in just two days!!!! im quite suprised, im completely new to startin from seed. i have my beans in roots organic 707 soil, which is nice and moist at the present time with spring water. My question is since ive watered these seeds technically twice...should i mix up my high nitrogen nutes and start introducing them to the seedlings now, or should i wait for a couple weeks...as it is there is no nitrogen being supplemented to these seedlings...what should i do??????? help please

I am a hydro guy so maybe things are different but I only give quarter strength nute for the first week then half strength then full strength. Work your way into it, not just full on nutes. You might shock the shit out of them. Again im hydro all the way so maybe im wrong.

Growing in soil, you do not give any nutes until they are at least three weeks of age - if you start your newborn seedling on nutes the odds of killing it (or at the least, severely damaging it) are good.

Yea you dont want to feed for a couple weeks and can i ask why you went with the 707 soil, seems like its for outdoors do to its water holding ability, are you growing outdoors?

yeah man dont feed for at least 3 weeks and sometimes it can be longer, then start at 1/4 strength the first week and just increase a 1/4 each week, ur seedling has enough stored energy to grow for 2 to 3 weeks on its on.

okay cool thank you everyone....botanicare was succesfull at confusing me, then again it's really not to hard to do..lol.....

In response, i decided to go with 707 just because i have had success with it. i am willing and open for any suggestions for the future as far as soil goes...i only have 4 seeds planted in the 707 as of now (OG Kush), i have 40 (SLH) beans in the mail apparently, in New York still.... again, thank you all for your time, it is much appreciated!
