Hey Everyone, I'll be brief.
I'm pretty skeptical of all these "Snake Oils" that are out on the market today.
Most of 'em I've tried don't even come close to performing up to their manufacturers claims.
I'm starting this thread with hopes that others will chime in with their reviews on Nutes and/or Additives too, so we all can cut through the BS and find out what really does or doesn't work.
All I ask is that a real test/comparison was performed. Please, none of the "I used it before and it was great/sucked" type of stuff.
Today I'm happy to report that after some simple testing, Hydrorush seems to do as the makers claim.
http://www.hydrorush.com/
Although it's designed for hydroponics, I tried it anyway.
I'm doing side by side testing with clones, in a controlled environment.
2 plants vegging in soil, using chem nutes, and 2 plants vegging in soil-less, using organic nutes.
One of each, chem and organic, has been receiving small amounts of HR with every other watering.
Sure enough, of the 4 I'm testing, I have 2 plants growing, but kinda slowly, probably because I have a tendency to over water. They have not received any Hydrorush.
To my surprise, the other 2 that ARE receiving Hydrorush (also most likely over watered) are substantially larger and healthier, and have a ridiculous amount of bright white roots sprouting out of every drain hole!
As far as I can tell, it hasn't affected the biology of my organic medium either.
One of the makers claims is that it prevents anaerobic conditions. Sooooo, I just about killed a plant by deliberately creating an anaerobic condition just to try it on it. Over the course of a couple days, the plant got discolored and droopy and looked just about dead. Yesterday, all I did was watered it with 5mil HR in a Qt of tap water. Today the plant has almost fully recovered!!! (of course the affected leaves won't recover, but the rest of the plant has)
Holy Smokes!!! A product that lives up to it's makers claims!!
I'm sold!
