Do you have an e/c meter? ...you'll need one if not.
...an ec meter gives you a reading of the electrical conductivity in your solution ( or, how strong the fertilizer is )...The ec, is also given the name of TDS (total disolved solids), kind of like miles and kilometers, you can get the same reading with either or, but the #'s are different. TDS readings give you the measurement in ppm ( parts per million )...and to further complicate things, they give you the ppm in 2 different conversions...LOL.....they use .5 and .7 conversions. EXAMPLE: Just as 1 mile = 1.6 kilometers, an
ec of 950 = a
TDS of 475 ppm ( @ a .5 conversion. ) or 665 ppm ( @ .7 conversion)
...all in all, ec is the easiest to understand because it is a universal reading, however, not all meters have all the same options.
