nutrient troubles

HI,
I have 4 Chronic (Serious seeds) at 1 month flower. I check my nutes weekly with the a soil test kit...the one where you open the little capsules and mix them with water/dirt.

I have been using Miracle grow 2-4-2 liquid fertilizer, 1/2 capfull/gallon, about 1 gallon of this mix every other watering.

last week I checked the nutes, and everything was way high. I have now watered with distilled water 2 times since last fert. application.

Now I show low N, high P, and low K.

so, I am looking for a fertilizer that is locally available that is good for N and K, with no P.

Also, I am wondering just how accurate these soil test kits are, they sure are a pain in the ass to use them, and get costly over the coure of an entire grow. Is there any other way of checking the soil?

thanks

Most growers that I know who grow in soil do not get soil that has nutrients added.

They add there own. They use a ppm meter to test the feed. In order to test whats in the soil, they test the run off water.

good luck.

Home soil test kits are incredibly inaccurate. I wouldn't trust them. PH your water, before and after and your better off. As for your low NK value now, wouldn't that be expected after 2 waterings? A good sign that your plants are taking up the nutes too. A good source for N is blood meal, and I believe a good source of K is ash from your fireplace.
