I honestly had no idea where to put this so I figured this would be the best place..any who I'm about to fork out 500 bucks for a system called the nuvoh20. We have hard water (iron.. our tubs turn brown pretty quickly) I was wondering if anyone has one of these systems and if it actually works? I looked on amazon at their reviews but then realized this could possibly be from ghost reviewers getting paid to write positive reviews. Needless to say if im going to fork out that kind of cash for something I want to know if it works. Especially for the amount of iron in our water and the price.

Have you tried sediment filters already? I thought that the iron in my water was probably going to be a spendy fix, and just settled for delivered R/O water. Recently I ran some water through a $40 whole house filter, and was pretty surprised by how much it cleaned up. I think 2 or even 3 of these in series could completely eliminate iron, if that's your only problem. I hope to ditch the cal-mag soon and start using my own water as well, and would like to know what you find out.

If you are on city water have your water tested. It could be rust from old pipes. I had to replace ~ 50ft of 60 yo pipe from the water meter to my house about a year ago. It was the major cause.

If you are on well water, sediment filters won't do much except clog. You would need a permanganate system. Depending on where you live, Aquathin is a very reputable company most likely they will know the water in your area and help you size the correct system
