I have an O2G 2020, but due to other issues that caused 4+ grows to get root rot and die, I have not been able to try it
I finally have the problem sorted and will employ it in one rez next grow
That said, I have my doubts that it will significantly outperform my newest DO generating technique
Over the years, I have studied structured water's impact on plant growth and how best to incorporate it into my rezes
In the past I was using a 260 gph pump with a tall riser and 2 elbows so the water would aim down into a large net pot that was above the water line, filled with stones. As the pump cycled; between the splash and cascading nutes through the stones, plenty of DO was created, but I thought of a better way that I can use in a shallow rez. My first attempt is in my 2 gallon SWC (shallow water culture) tote, which I typically use to start seedlings/clones, I decided to try a horizontal approach. I took a 1 liter plastic bottle drilled a bunch of small holes then half filled it with a combination of platonic solids (do a search for why them) + some small marbles, both of which have to do with structuring water. I then attached a 80 gph pump to the mouth, laid it down sideways, and put it on a deep cycle timer at 3 minutes on and 60 minutes off, The holes must be drilled below the water line or else they will spray like crazy.
To be safe, this grow I am also using a 4 head air pump 24/7, though it probably isn't needed. Will try one tote without it next grow. Well, 3 now that I took clones: one air stone is inside the DIY cloner
Since taking these pictures I removed the large fan leaves below the ones at the top to provide more light to the many side branches
