Ode to anouther C99 grower eh Mosca? What's up with C99 BX-1

Is there some kind of C99 curse? The original C99 was Bros Grimm..never grew from seed but did get a cutting. From what I understand this grower didn't do much in the way of breeding generations..he just basically drew a lucky seed from a Jack Herer sack that came out of a Amsterdam. Then the guy went out of business for whatever reason. Next (in my experience) was Actual seeds...really impressed but having only two strains in your line up may have been the downfall of that seed biz. Heard nothing but good stuff about Joey weed C99 but never got to sample it. Now I have been growing Mosca C99 BX1 since last year...the first that I bought was back in November and every bean popped. Second time around zip, zero, shit happens although it was a first for me..80-90 bucks down the toilet. Seedsman just gets in a "new" batch this last week and I am having to pull out every little trick just to get 3 out of 10. These are old fucking seeds and that is all there is about it. So Banana man (Mosca owner) I know you live in the USA and given what happened to Mark Emory you have to use Seedsman to do your selling and packaging for you but for what ever reason your quality has gone to crap, and being that your product is not even sealed how do you expect customers to shell out well over $100 for 10 reg. seeds on some of your top shelf beans????

Did a Frost brothers spicy 99 and was like 9of10 germ rate (out of pineapple).j the spicy is simply the C99 skunky pheno. I am 3 weeks into Jungle Trichome Jungle C99 ...had a 7/10 germ rate with a lot of manipulation of the seedlings. The membrane that is under the husk would have choked out several if not for the manual removal of it. I only resorted to this after watching one seedling leave get torn off because it couldn't make it out of that %$# membrane. Wasn't for the lack of moisture either. 5 of the 7 have a strong skunky smell with 2 of those putting on rapid growth. The other 2 are showing the pineapple pheno..slower growth with a very mild smell and a compact build. One of the plants was a mute with fast growth to one side of the plant and hardly none on the other. FYI...if one of the sproutlet leaves is lost it doesn't mean your screwed, with a 30X magnifying glass I could see that 2 small nodules were dead center in line with the stem...those turned out to be the first set of single bladed leaves.

I've grown out Female Seeds C99, cheap and cheerful, plants took a lot of abuse and didn't hermie. I got 3 grapefruit phenos and 1 pineapple, very similar in appearance but smell was completely different! Good quality smoke too, got me high as fuck with zero couch lock.

Smoked the original Bros. Grimm C99 once and it blew me away. I was devastated to here the demise of the company.

I am sitting on a pack of Mosca C99 BX. I have heard other reports of poor germ rates as well. I am thinking of dropping them in the next few days.
I will report my germination rates.

i just got these mosca c99 bx1's recently and dropped them lest week. I had great germination results 9/10 popped within the first 24 hrs... and the 10th, well it popped almost a week later ha!
but still 100% germination with them
