Odor control idea

Hi everyone, im new to the forums and just doing a lot of reading and research before starting my grow. I am concerned that i wont have proper control of odor once they reach maturity.
I had an idea to build a small 2x2x2 box from wood, completely sealed except by two holes on two sides, one for intake, one for exhaust. I was thinking to cover the intake hole with a few layers of carbon that can be bought at home depot, i believe theyre used for replacing spent filters from certain air purifiers.
Then on the exhaust hold have more ducting, maybe a foot or so, and then have my fan that flows into another carbon filter, most likely a purchased one.

Does anybody think that would be a redundant design? would the single filter be enough to scrub a 4x4x6 room. I was looking at this fan/filter combo from htg. http://www.htgsupply.com/viewproduct.asp?productID=53961
would that be overkill for a small 96 cubic foot room?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. I hope to learn a lot from these forums.

I meant the intake on the small 2x2x2 box i built. There wont be any plants in the box, just air. The air will be exhausted from the inside of the tent, and sucked through the 2 filters.

Just wondering if it would seem like a realistic idea that would rid the air of any smell. Or if the room is small enough one filter would be sufficient.

that looks like a nice fan filter combo and should be good for your setup. remember to suck dirty air through the filter, and blow the now scrubbed air away.
