To control the odor of 1-2 plants would negative ion generators work well? If so can anyone please reccommend some good brands?

just get a carbon scrubber, because youll be surprised how strong that smell it. and those fan things dont even specify a cfm rate. i wouldnt waste my money.

i have a carbon filter(grandma bought it 4 my allergies) but it seems 2 make a somewhat funky odor. LOL it smells kinda funny and if i leave it on long enough it will permenantly change the smell of my bedroom. Maybe it will change it enough so my parents won't know. ;)

Before you attempt to grow on a "cost-cutting" basis, try to understand that you usually get what you pay for.

For really good odor control, you will have to buy a really good carbon filter.

They run about $135 at the hydro store. I think they can be found cheaper on Ebay. In addition to the filter, you'll need some ducting and a GOOD fan.

And yes ... four plants can stink up your entire house, the driveway AND the front sidewalk ... depending upon the strain, of course.

calm down Scarecrow. But don't risk ur parent's house. The authorities could seriously fukk u AND ur parents over. They love that shit. NEways, LOOK UP THE LOCAL LAWS!!! google the hell outta that shit. Most of us here are older growers, or at least have our own places to risk. Do urself a favor and stick to one plant, be discreet, and GET THE GOOD FILTER. These things REEK your place up. LOL, incense and a carbon filter will do you, but keep ur plant # LOW... happy and safe..very safe, growe

Scarecrow, Kage is right that your parents could lose the house if you got caught; the DO love that RICO shit for sure. I've got a carbon scrubber and an ion thingy; the ion thingy works 100 times better and the cost was about $20. NO odor - period. And Nongreenthumb uses them too.

You an give it a shot but the stuff evaporates and it also makes your room smell like those big white "urinal mints". I've got some but I don't use it. You don't have to listen to me about the ionic air scrubber but it works 100% and under $20.

THIS MIGHT BE THE 'SHIT' FOR ODOR CONTROL Y'ALL....A friend uses a stone called Zeolite, which comes in various forms for odor control. At first I was skeptical...ended up buying two bags of it on ebay, akin to fish tank gravel size...put it in pans, left in 'the room', and ya know...THE SHIT WORKS. GREAT. LIKE, RIGHT THERE AND CANT SMELL WEED GREAT. only needs to sit in sun on very hot days to rejuvenate the stones. CHECK IT OUT. AM GOING TO HAVE A LAW ENFORCEMENT PERSON(FAMILY MEMBER) WHO IS TOTALLY COOL COME TO TAKE A WHIFF. SEE JUST HOW GOOD IT IS. DETECTION BY SMELL?>?? HIGHLY UNLIKELY. I'M TALKING ~15 PLANTS AND NO, I REPEAT NO SMELL. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW. WANTED TO PASS THIS AWESOME INFO ALONG

passed the smell test. will know better as my 'kids' mature and get to reeking with the sweet smell of weed. IF they do. Amazing stuff....and its a STONE!! also have party favor bags, ~3" size or so hung strategically around the place to absorb any and all smells. I'm a happy camper. cheaper than carbon filters, which wear out.....
